This poll is in response to anybody who worries about weight gain during smoking cessation whether they have quit smoking yet or are planning to. Anybody who quit for a Year or more can participate in the poll even if they relapsed due to weight gain. I want folks who read this to get an accurate picture of what can happen with this worry.
Comments are welcome!
I haven't been quit for a year but I have been quitting for almost a year smh. I did gain weight but I was originally tiny like 100lbs on a full stomach 98 on a normal day. In my journey through NML I did get hungrier like I had a black hole in my stomach but I only gained about 12lbs and that was in about 4 months. I wouldn't stress much about weight gain upon quitting because for some that weight go away after a while, some it never come, and some (like me) can use a few extra pounds lol but you'll never know which category you're under until you try. There's also articles available on how to avoid weight gain when quitting like eating fruit or nuts during craves or "black hole hunger" or work out if your body permit. A simple walk even burn calories. I believe quitting is the best thing one can do for themselves even if it add a few pounds.
